About 10 years ago I decided to turn roughly half of my grassy area into a wild flower meadow. The turf was lifted and then I sowed a mix of meadow seeds and grass. I have paths which are cut regularly to allow me to walk through and have also put in some bulbs. In Spring there are lots of cowslips but primroses don’t do so well. Last year I added 3 buddleias but they are slow to develop on this light sandy soil.
